2K Aerosols How to use and what are they ?

What is 2k paint and how does it work? In this video, we break down everything you need to know about 2K (two-component / two-part) aerosol paint. Unlike regular spray paints, 2K aerosols contain both paint and a hardener that chemically react when activated—giving you a professional-grade finish straight from a can. During manufacture, ProXL 2K aerosols are carefully engineered with several unique components to deliver professional-grade performance. The process begins with the hardener, which is stored in an inner container. The main aerosol can is then filled with paint, followed by ProXL’s unique blend of solvents and additives that ensure smooth application and a flawless finish. Finally, the propellant is added through the valve, making the aerosol ready for use. To activate the 2K technology, simply remove the cap from the base and insert the pull-ring into the pinhole. Pull the pin out fully, twist it 360 degrees, and this will release the hardener into the main aerosol. Shake the can for two minutes to ensure all components are thoroughly mixed, then apply in cross coats at a spraying distance of around 250 millimetres. Once activated, the aerosol provides a shelf life of up to 24-36 hours. ProXL Pro2K Clear is a high-performance 2K clearcoat aerosol that delivers a bodyshop-quality finish without a spray gun. We can also supply RAL and British Standard colours in 2k Aerosols in different gloss levels
